Surprise, another blog....it is 4AM...and I'm so glad to be back in my hotel...leavin in a few hours...
(Sometime earlier in the evening)
Gotta be proud of myself. I figured out what the Japenese guys were talking about today w/o having to ask them what they were talking about. It took a while, but I got it. And they were laughing cuz when they explained it to me in English, I already knew what they were talking about and they asked me how I knew, and I just said by reading their reactions and stuff...
...I gotta admit, it can sometimes get frustrating when people speak another language I cannot understand, because I feel left out. Of course, I know that they are only speaking in that language because they are most comfortable with it. However, there are times people do that to intentionally leave people out. That's not cool. And one of the things I really don't like is when pilipino's make fun of me or look down on me because I can't speak tagalog. I mean, I would give my left arm to be able to speak my native language, but I don't, and I don't see that as a handicap. One reason it pisses me off is because my parents chose not to speak it to us so that we can learn english better. It was a parental choice they made a long time ago, to make it easier for us. We lived pretty much in the midwest area when I was young and not very many people spoke other languages than English. Was it the same decision I would've made? Probably not, but parents make the choices which they think are best for their children to develop, and that's the decision they made for me and Jos. Now, I am trying to learn it again, as I am with Japanese and French again, he he he, but hopefully, one day, I will be able to make my parents proud.
...
Damn, it's freakin 1:45AM and we're STILL working. We're in for the freakin long haul man, probably about another hour or so at the least. And then the drive back to the hotel is at least another 40 min. My flight is in about 6 hours and I haven't packed. I still need to call a cab or find some transportation back to the airport. Argh man. This really biznites. I hate cutting things close...I really do. At least I can sleep on the entire flight back home, plus the layover in Denver. Shucks, I'm gonna miss, "The Day After Tomorrow."
